Wings of Freedom...

I really like African music - my favorites come from Senegal and Mali...
A favorite is Salif Keita - the Malian singer. This man has got something special for many reasons...
He was born with Albinism, and was considered an outcast in his own tribe....doors were shut in his face because of his "skin color".

He believed none of it....he pursued his calling regardless of the superstition, stigma and exclusion he faced....he went for his dream....and this is what makes him so special in my eyes...he believed in Freedom from limitations, in Freedom from exclusion, in Freedom from personal oppression...and he sang for his country, Mali, he sang for Africa....

Now that's a true human being for me.
