If you want to understand the origins of things - you need to learn how to listen...really, am not preaching or anything...if you are a good listener you will always spot influences - influences that will always lead you to the source..
In the video below, in this Greek song, with a melody that you find in certain parts in Turkey and which they call oriental music there - in Turkey, and is considered some sort of a "sub-strata" of their repertoire... and if you listened attentively to my other video, in the previous post...you can all trace it back...to the origins...
I am so glad to see the Greeks in this video reverting to their true origins...that of real Middle Easterners/Mediterraneans, none of this European Bullshit.
